Livingston Manor

When the temperatures start to get cold in New York City, it’s the perfect time for a winter weekend! While there are pictures all over my feed on people travelling to the Swiss Alps, or going wild in Apres Ski out west, you don’t actually need to go too far to find a beautifully snowy backdrop nestled in the mountains.

In a short two hour ride north, you can be in the beautiful Catskills in Sullivan County. Over the last few years I’ve been visiting Livingston Manor. While it feels remote, it incredibly charming, and has a lot to do in the nearby area.

After a cute girls weekend with my Mom and Sister, and a big friends group trip at an AirBnb, I’m eager to come back here for a romantic weekend in the future! It offers something special no matter the kind of trip you are looking for.

Explore nearby town of Calicoon

Nestled along the Delaware River, Callicoon is a picturesque small town in the western Catskills known for its blend of history, outdoor recreation, and thriving arts and food scenes. A long time ago it was a railroad and lumber hub, and the sleepy town became forgotten. That is, until it recently was rediscovered!

From it’s historic charm, scenic beauty, artisanal experiences, and a relaxed countryside atmosphere are just a few of the reasons you may love a visit. Here are some ideas for your trip!

Whether you're looking for a quiet riverside retreat, an active weekend on the water, or a foodie escape, Callicoon is a hidden Catskills gem perfect for all seasons.

And lastly if you’re in the area, definitely check out nearby Roscoe and the famous Roscoe Diner.
