Honey Deuce Cocktail for the US Open
The US Open is on TV all week, but there are no fans in the stands. The past few years Ryan, my friends and I enjoyed getting tickets to a match and take in the experience at Arthur Ashe. Though I don’t understand every element of the game, I definitely think its fun to watch some larger than life athlete like Serena, Federer or Nadal take the court. They make it look so easy! Trust me, I’ve tried to play throughout my life and though it’s fun I spend a lot of time chasing after the ball…
Gotta be honest, one of my favorite parts of the US Open is this cocktail right here. It’s delicious, colorful, and the little honeydew garnish looks like tennis balls and I LOVE A CUSTOM COCKTAIL!
The Honey Deuce!
My friends and I got together last weekend to mix up this drink ourselves. It took us a few drinks to nail the taste, but it was pretty easy once you get the right ingredients! So whether you are watching the semifinals and finals of the US Open this weekend, or if you’re just looking for a new cocktail recipe, I recommend trying this out!
Here is what you’ll need:
Grey Goose vodka
Honeydew melon
Raspberry liqueur (we subbed for strawberry)
Lemonade
Ice
Toothpicks for melon
Official US Open Cup (JK)
Directions:
Use melon scooper to create honeydew balls
Fill cup with ice
Add 1 shot Grey Goose vodka
Add 1 cup lemonade
Splash of raspberry liqueur
Add honeydew balls for garnish and voila!
Enjoy!
